Duplin
County Health Department offers the following health services
and programs: Adult Services, Child Health Services, Environmental Health, Family
Planning, Health Education, HIV/AIDS, STD, Health Promotion, Immunizations, Lab
Services, Maternal Health Services, TB, Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Program,
Care Coordination services, and Dental program. This Health Department provides
the residents of Duplin County with quality and affordable care. A 95% approval
rating has been given by their patients.
Adult services are offered for both male and female above 18
years who screening for for chronic diseases, including high blood pressure,
elevated cholesterol, diabetes, cancer and other chronic diseases as indicated.
Cancer screening includes breast exams, pap with pelvic exam for women and rectal/prostate/testicular
exam for men.
Child Health Services are offered during the week upon appointment.
For those who do not have Medicaid, Health Choice or Insurance a sliding fee
scale will be offered with proof of income. Child Health Services include Physical
Examination, Kindergarten Assessment Physical, Headstart Physical, Day Care
Physical, Hearing and Vision testing, Developmental Screening, Laboratory Services,
Hemoglobin, Lead tests for children up to age six years, Follow-up of abnormal
lead tests including nutritional and education, counseling Urine testing, Sickle
Cell tests, Dental Screening, Immunizations, Nutritional Counseling and WIC
Referral Services, Parent and Patient Education, and Child Services Coordination.
