Duplin
County Fire Departments are
the following 11: Albertson Volunteer Fire Department, Faison Fire Dept, North
East Volunteer Fire Department, Pleasant Grove Fire Department, Sarecta Fire Department,
Warsaw Fire Dept, Chinquapin Volunteer Fire and Rescue, Inc., Fountaintown Volunteer
Fire Department, Piney Grove Volunteer Fire Department, Rose Hill Fire Department,
and Town of Wallace Volunteer Fire Department. Duplin County emergencies are handled
by the Duplin County Emergency Services Department.
The Duplin County Emergency Services Department is comprised of the Emergency
Management Division and the Fire Marshal's Office. These divisions work closely
with many of Duplin County fire departments and EMS squads to provide the best
emergency services. The Fire Marshal's Office works closely with the twenty
county fire departments and the five out-of-county fire departments that cover
the districts inside Duplin County. Routine and special fire inspections to
insure a safer environment for living and work as well as providing fire prevention
classes in the school system are other responsibilities of the Fire Marshal's
Office. The Fire Marshal's office also issues permits required by the NC Fire
Code.
